Just a short edition of “Copywriting Notes” this week. I mentioned in a previous post that I’ve spent a couple of days “Out of the office” with a client.
Now, the original intention was to have something of a “mini-seminar”. Reviewing an internet marketing programme that has recently been released and figuring out how best to apply the information.
It ended up turning into a bit more than that and produced a number of very useful ideas and strategies.
The experience reminded me of the value of getting together with like-minded people to discuss ideas and simply swap notes. There really is a “synergy” effect when you have the right group.
The “Mastermind Group” was one of the key concepts that Napoleon Hill discussed in “Think And Grow Rich”, of course.
Being a freelance copywriter tends to be a somewhat solitary endeavour. I’ve found it’s most worthwhile to ensure that I connect with clients or other writers on a regular basis. You don’t necessarily have to be part of a formal mastermind group (although that can be very worthwhile). But it’s important to be connected in some fashion that suits you.
